This talk discussed how historical material archive is used and reinterpreted through multiple cultural and political acts in contemporary Nagaland that continually reconstitute the ‘archive’ as object and practice. It also analyzed several sites and genres of images and objects visible in Nagaland since the 1990s to reflect on the reconfigurations of historical photographic and material culture collections.
